The Follyship of the Ring - by Xpheyel

My first RS movie. A silly spoof of what Lord of the Rings would be like if, well, someone like me had been in charge of production. Let me stress, I love Lord of the Rings, I think the Fellowship of the Ring was an absolutely great movie. I can tell you what Gimli's battle cry means in English and probably recount the basic mythology of Middle Earth. Which is a trifle sickening, but at least it shows that I'm not really making fun of Tolkien's books or Peter Jackson's movies. This movie uses animated GIF images played sequentially in a Java Thread, timed to sleep for the length of the animation before selecting and painting the next. The characters and some props began as screenshots, copied to Paint Shop Pro 7 where they were turned into Truevision Targa files, with the characters in the Alpha channel. Then I applied the Targa files to planes as textures in Blender3D. Using Blender's IPOs, Keyframes, and special effects I created the basics of the animations, which were output as AVI raw files. Then I used Animation Shop 3 to add text, fine tune, and convert to gif. Finally, they were added to the Applet.
