Grand Tree Quest

It is recommended that you have the Spirit Tree (located inside the Gnome Maze) teleport you to the Gnome Stronghold. From the "stronghold spirit tree" (location you were teleported to) walk north to the Grand Tree and walk through the door. When you get inside talk to King Narnode Shareen. As you keep talking to him, he will take you down to the roots of the grand tree. There he will give you a piece of bark and a translation book. King Narnode Shareen will tell you to go take the piece of bark to Hazelmere.

Hazelmere is located south-east of Yanille. Yanille is located south of the Fight Arena (which is south of Ardougne). Hazelmere's hut is surrounded by Jungle Spiders (level 46). To talk to Hazelmere make sure you have the piece of bark and translation book that was given to you by King Narnode Shareen. Hazelmere only talks in the "old gnome tongue", which means you will have to translate what he says to you. Since no-one has the time to do translate what he says to you, I have done that for you. After you talk to Hazelmere head back to the Gnome Stronghold and enter the Grand Tree. Talk to King Narnode Shareen. Tell the King that Hazelmere said:

>Human came with kings seal
>>Gave human dan daconia rock
>>>Daconia rocks will kill tree

After talking to the king, he will tell you to go talk to Glough (the Head Tree Gaurdian). Glough's home is located south-west of the grand tree (northwest and right next to the stronghold spirit tree teleport spot). After speaking with Glough, head back the King and he will tell you that Glough had caught the human with the 3 daconia rocks. The prisoner is located on the highest floor level in the Grand tree: from the ground level floor head up the ladder, through the east door, up the north walkway, and up the ladder (south of where you will be standing). From there walk west through the door and up the ladder and talk to the prisoner (Charlie).

According to the prisoner Glough paid him to do get the Daconia rocks from Hazelmere. To find out what Glough is up to you must search his home. Head to Glough's home. Once inside his house, search the cupboard and then talk to Glough. He will lock you up in a cell beside Charlie the prisoner. Talk to Charlie again. King Narnode Shareen tells you that Glough has placed guards at the south gates and you can use the his glider pilot (located on the same level you are on) to get you out of the gnome stronghold. The glider pilot will take you to the Karamja jungle, south of Brimhaven. Once you have landed, head northeast and find the gate. When you try to open the gate, you will be stopped by a shipyard worker and he will ask you why u are here. Tell him that Glough sent you. He will ask for a password: the pass word is "ka-lu-mi". Walk around the pier until you find the Shipyard Foreman (if the shipyard workers (lvl 44) get in your way, kill them). Once you talk to the foreman he will take you inside the hut and ask you a few questions. He is what you must say (maybe not in the same order):

Shipyard foreman: How is Glough...still with his wife?
(This is what you say): His wife is no longer with us

Shipyard foreman: If you really know Glough...
Shipyard foreman: You know his favorite gnome dish
(This is what you say): Worm holes

Shipyard foreman: Whats the name of his new girlfriend?
(This is what you say): Anita

Once you have finished talking to the foreman, he will give you an invoice. Now head back the the gnome stronghold. You must enter the Gnome Stronghold through the teleporting spirit tree in the gnome maze. Once inside the stronghold go talk to the king. The king then tells you that you must be paranoid. Go talk to Glough. He will tell you that you cannot do a thing to stop him from taking over Runescape. Now go talk to the prisoner on the top level of the Grand Tree. He will tell you to goto Glough's girlfriends has and get his chest keys (Glough has a locked chest in his home). Her house is west of the toad swamp. (The toad swamp is located north-west of the Grand Tree.) Talk to Anita and she will give you a key. Goto Glough's home and use the key with the chest. If you read Glough's notes it has his plans for Runescape domination. Go back and talk to the King. He will give you 4 pebbles (make sure you have room for them in you inventory).

Before doing the next part, goto the bank and get some good food (lobster, swordfish, etc.). Go to Glough's house and climb up the watch tower inside his house. Once atop the watch tower there is a stone stand, each of the 4 pebbles go in a certain order. The stones together spell "open". The order is:

Pebble "hO" = to the far left
Pebble "NI" = to the centre left
Pebble ":::" = to the centre right
Pebble "hA\" = to the far right

If you go down, Glough will be there and you will have to fight a Black Demon (lvl 175). After defeating the demon search the cave-like place for King Narnode Shareen. After talking to him, you will need to find a daconian stone. To find the stone you will have to search the roots. You should find the stone in one of the roots near a giant rat. After you find the stone go back and talk to the King. He will reward you and the quest is complete.
