Chapter 1
After you defeated Glough in the Grand Tree Quest, Narnode dispatched his elite gnome 10th guard to disband the shipyards on Karamja. However, the guard has failed to report in. Accept the quest to find the 10th guard. Narnode will give you a piece of paper with his seal.
Go to the Gnome glider and fly to Karamja, then go to the shipyards and speak to the G. L. O. (gnome liaison officer). He'll claim he has no knowledge of the 10th guard, you should now report back to King Narnode.
Now you need to talk to Glough's replacement, Daero. He can be found on the second floor of the grand tree in the Blue Berry Bar. He'll blindfold you and take you to a hanger full of experimental military gliders that can navigate through the bad weather. However, you must solve a 'code' to make the gliders work, they're currently folded for storage.
The 'Code' is a slide puzzle that shows a picture of gnome gliders, here is what the finished puzzle should look like:
You can also pay Glough 200,000 coins to solve the puzzle for you.
Chapter 2
Once the gliders are unfolded, talk to Waydar to fly to the island the other gnomes crashed on. You'll find a member of the 10th guard watching the gliders while the others explore an inhabited atoll nearby. Talk to Waydar to the other gnome to row you to the atoll as well. Once there, follow the ridgeline through the jungle, put on protect from ranged at some point if you have it. Eventually a number of monkeys will shoot you with special arrows that make you fall unconscious, they'll then put you in a jail with two of the 10th guard's soldiers.
Escape the prison by pick-locking the door and running out when the large guard gorilla's are changing shifts. You'll probably want protection from ranged again because there are many archer monkeys on platforms. To the east there should be a large temple full of high leveled guardians. Walk past the entrance and follow the wall south until you find a smaller structure guarded by "Elder Guards", which are large gorillas. Head around the east side of the building and you'll find the 10th guard's leader. He'll tell you to find his mage, who is trying to borrow under the jail to break out the other two soldiers.
First go to a large warehouse full of crates south of the jail. There should be a stack of crates at an angle to all the others, search it from the EAST side only. If you're on any other side, Ninja Monkeys will appear and jail you. You will find some magic monkey dentures. Now head to the crate in the south-east corner of the building and search it. You'll get the option to climb down, do so. You should end up in another warehouse like area full of crates. Head to the stack of crates in the North-West corner and search them, you should find a monkey amulet mold. Now teleport out.
Bring a gold bar, ball of wool, and Karamja monkey bones as well as the dentures and amulet mold. Go back to the Atoll and head west until you see an underground entrance symbol on your map. Go through the cave (running, food, anti-poison, and protect from melee highly recommended). You'll find the mage who will tell you what he needs to disguise you as a monkey.
Give him the gold, mold, bones and dentures. He should give you an enchanted gold bar and the mold back. You need to forge the amulet in the monkey temple. Go back to the village (either back track through the cave or teleport and come back) and go into the big temple east of the jail. Look out for the guards, protection from melee is a good idea at this point. Head east through the temple, you need to find a trap door. Go down and you'll get attacked by many monkey zombies so its best to leave protection on. Now use the enchanted bar with the fire to the south or north and you'll make the monkey amulet. Use the wool to string it and get the Monkey-Speech Amulet. Leave the temple.
Just west of the there is an abandoned building that connects to a yard full of banana trees. There is a child monkey in the yard, and the monkey's aunt occasionally walks through. The aunt will summon the Ninjas if she sees you so be circumspect. Pick five bananas, talk to the child monkey while wearing the Monkey Amulet. He wants a new toy but he needs to pick "a load" of bananas before his aunt will give him one. Talk to him until you get a list of options, say you're the monkey's uncle and the little guy will trust you.
Talk to him until he agrees to give you his toy in exchange for the bananas. Give him the bananas then wait for his aunt to walk past once or twice. When she's gone through a few times, talk to the monkey again and he'll give you a special monkey talisman.
Give the Talisman to the gnome mage at the end of the cave and he'll give you a magic one that turns you into a Karamja monkey. Leave the cave, once you're out or get back to Ape Atoll equip the talisman. The poisonous monsters and monkeys will not attack you in this form.
Chapter 3
Now that you have an effective disguise go back to the monkey village with the talisman and monkey speak amulet equipped. Talk to Garkor again and he'll outline his plan to trick the monkeys into letting you into their inner circle.
To speak with the Monkey King, you need to have permission from the head guard Kruk. Kruk is near the Bamboo gate with the archer-ninjas that would take you prisoner in human form. Talk to him, then the Monkey King. In order to prove you're resourceful enough to be useful the King wants you to break one of the other Karamja monkeys out of the Ardougne zoo.
Go to Ardougne and equip the talisman again. You'll turn into a monkey, talk to the Monkey Minder in the zoo and he'll put you in the cage. Talk to one of the monkeys and it will agree to escape with you. Remove the talisman and speak to the minder again to be let out of the cage. WALK back to the grand tree and return to Ape Atoll. Using the spirit trees will make your monkey disappear.
Equip your talisman once on the atoll, go back to the Monkey King and speak to him again. He'll be impressed and will trust you but wants to think about allying with the Northern monkeys more first.
Chapter 4
Now that the Monkey King trusts you, speak to Garkor again. He'll tell you that his Mage and Sappers heard a disturbing conversation between Waydar, the GLO, and the Monkey King. A cutscene will play detailing their treachery. Garkor thinks that they can defeat whatever trap that traitors can come up with as long as you help them. He'll give you a 10th Guard sigil, don't put it on until you're ready to fight a big demon.
Get either ranged or magic equipment, the best way to defeat the demon is to range or mage him while using Protect from Magic (the demon throws very powerful spells and he hits hard on melee). You might want prayer restore potions.
When you are ready, equip the sigil and you'll be teleported into a giant cage with the demon and the 10th guard. Defeat the demon and speak to Garkor, then to the mage. Teleport off the island and get to the Grand Tree so you can report to Narnode and complete the quest.
Narnode will give you the coins and diamonds, talk to Daero to recieve you experience. You can focus on strength and hits or attack and defense. You will recieve 35,000 exp to the skills you focus on and 20,000 exp to the other two.
To turn into different monkeys, kill a monkey in the village and take its bones as well as a talisman (purchasable at the magic shot next to the warehouse) to the 10th guard mage at the end of the long tunnel.
