Start this quest in Seers Village. You need to search the bookcase in the building south-west of the bank. You'll get a book. Read it and it'll tell you about the workshop, and how the mages shut it down. The book will also say that you can find a way to enter it in the book. Use a knife on the book, and you will find a key. Go to the building west of the bank, and look at the north wall. You'll notice an odd looking wall. use the key on it to go through it. Go down the stairs, and you'll be in the workshop. Go to the passage to the west, and then head north. You will find some rocks you can mine. An earth elemental will attack you if you mine it. It'll drop some elemental ore. Go to the main area, and take the passage to the south. The furnace isn't active, so you need to activate it. get a stone bowl from the boxes in the north west of the main area, and use it on the lava trouth. Use the filled bowl on the furnace. It'll become active, but it isn't hot enough. Go to the north section and pull the lever. This will reset the valves. Turn the valves on both sides of the room. Now turn the lever again, and the wheel will start up. Now go to the east room. Pull the lever there, and it'll tell you the bellows are broken. Try to fix them, it'll tell you you need leather, a needle and thread. You can find the leather in the crates at the north-west of the main room. Try to fix it again, and it'll finally work. Use the lever again, and air will be pumped. Go back to the furnace. 1 elemental ore and 4 coal will make an elemental bar. Use the bar on the workbenches in the main room, and you'll have completed the quest.
