To start this quest you'll have to go to Tai Bwo Wannai village, for those who don't remember its north of Shilo. You must speak to Timfraku, who lives upstairs near a house with an Anvil. Look for quest icons on your map (theres anothing one in Tai Bwo Wannai related to the Jungle Potion quest). Speak to Timfraku for awhile and you'll be prompted to start the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio Quest, obviously you click 'yes' at this point. You need to find Timfraku's three sons: Tamayu, Tinsay, and Tiadeche. If you talk to Timfraku again, you can learn more about his three sons.

Tamayu, the first son, is a natural born hunter and you can find him around the mine south of Tai Bwo Wannai.

Tinsay is a priest. He had an accident. We don't talk about it. It involved Jogres though... Anyway, Tinsay is hiding out on Cairn Island. And on a scale of 1 to Crazy, he's a 5.

Tiadeche the third son loves fishing but is apparently not very proficient at it. He can be found by heading East of Tai Bwo Wannai until you find a river. Cross the log spanning the River and head North. When you reach the shore, head east until you see fishing spots and Tiadeche.

Tamayu refuses to return to the village until he's defeated a huge, ugly Jungle lion. However, it seems he can't hit the lion due to its agility and even when he does his spear fails to injure the lion enough. To top it off, the lion heals so quickly he can't wear it down! Give him an agility potion to help him hit the Lion. To kill the lion, he'll need a decent spear (steel or mithril probably) with a special poison made from the Karambwan octopus. To secure that, you'll have to talk to Tiadeche.

Tiadeche has been trying to catch a Karambwan and will not return until he succeeds. Head back towards Brimhaven, on the way you should see an old Fisherman named Lubufo. Speak to him and he'll tell you to go away. Try talking to him again, choose to ask a question about him and then ask how old he is. Lubufo will give you a crotchety answer and complain about fishing for bait. Offer to fish it for him, he'll ask why you want to help. Choose the first answer "You sound like you need some help." He'll tell you where to fish for Karambwan bait, its a brightly colored fish that lives in a Holy Lake south of Tai Bwo Wannai.

The lake is south of Tai Bwo Wannai, and near the North Western edge of Shilo Village. Use a small net at the fishing spots in the lake to start catching the Karambwan Ji, a colorful fish the Karambwan octopus apparently loves. When you've caught 20 take them back to Lubufo, who will be very appreciative. Keep talking to him and he'll offer to make you his apprentice so you can learn how to catch Karambwans. He'll give you a Karambwan vessel. Go back to the lake and fish more Karambwan Ji's. Use one with the pot to load it. Now its time to betray your mentor and hand over his secrets to Tiadeche.

Properly equipped, Tiadeche will quickly catch a Karambwan! Will he go back to the village now? No, of course not. He wants you to take the Vessel to his brother Tinsay to learn how it works and how to make copies of it. As we might already know, Tinsay is off his rocker. Tinsay adamantly refuses to help you until you bring him weird food items in the following order.

Banana in Karamja Rum: Use a knife on a Banana to make Banana slices and use them with a Karamja Rum. Take it back to Tinsay.
Seaweed Monkey Skin Sandwich: Kill a monkey with Ranged or Magic and take its corpse. Now find some seaweed. Then go talk to Tamayu and watch one of his hunts. When its over, give him the agility potion and watch the next hunt. He won't defeat the Lion Monster but he will do a little better. Use the monkey corpse on him and he'll skin it for you. Finally use the seaweed with the skin and take it back to Tinsay.
Marinated Jogre Bones: Fish up another Karambwan Ji and use a pestle and mortar with it to make some paste. Now go kill a Jogre and take it's bones. Use the bones with a furnace to get burnt bones. Now use the paste on the bones, finally you need to go use the whole thing with a range to get the Marinated Bones. Give them to Tinsay and he'll be much more cooperative. Give him the Vessel and he'll give you the crafting instructions.

With the instructions in hand, go back to Tiadeche and give them to him, he'll likewise be overjoyed and will return to the village once you help Tamayu finish killing the Lion monster. You'll need to use your Karambwan with a pestle and mortar which will give you raw Karambwan paste. Now procure a "Badly Cooked" Karambwan from another player, or fish another raw one and cook it yourself if you're fishing is high enough. Use the pestle with this one too. Now use the raw Karambwan (green) paste on the spear followed by the cooked (gray) paste. This will make your spear (kp). Give it to Tamayu and watch another hunt. This time he will defeat the Lion and will return to the village.

Go back to Timfraku and talk to him to get your coins and quest points. Then head south of his hut to find the son's huts. Talk to each of them to get the other parts of your reward.
