To begin The Feud Quest, you must go to Al Kharid. North of the Silk Trader you should find Ali Morrisane, talk to him. He'll tell you he is the greatest salesman in the world. Ask why he's selling stuff from a cart. Ali needs more staff to handle trivial duties so he can move on to bigger things. Tell him "I'd like to help, but...", Ali know you're an adventurer so you can't join him in the merchant business, but if you get his nephew (also named Ali) in a town called Pollnivneach to come and help with the shop, Morrisan will give you a month's salary. Agree to help him.

Pollnivneach is in the desert, you'll need Desert Clothes and water. First go south of Al Kharid to the Shantay pass, you can use the chest next to the pass to get into your bank account. Get some coins and buy at least one water skin and maybe desert clothes. You can also wear the Slave's robes from the Tourist Trap quest. Go through the Shantay Pass and head South-East. Eventually you'll reach the town.

The town is a minor war-zone between the lawless Bandits and the strange Menaphites. You need some information, the first thing to do is go to the "Snake and Asp" tavern and buy 3 beers, talk to Drunken Ali and give him beers until he tells you that Ali Morrisane's nephew is involved in some kind of trouble between the Bandits and the Menaphits. Go west of the bar to the purple tent and talk to Ali the Operator. Then talk to a Bandit.

The Bandit/Menaphite feud has something to do with a stolen camel. If you can get two camels you might be able to calm them down and get information about Morrisane's nephew. Go to the camel shop and haggle with Ali the Camel Man until you get receipts for two camels. Talk to Ali and a Bandit. Neither one of them will keep their word, they want 10 camels to make peace. Talk to Ali again and he'll offer you a position with the Menaphites (in other words, join the gang).

Your first task to prove your worthiness is to steal from 3 villagers. First time around you can just pick-pocket one. However, they can't be pick-pocketed after that. Talk to Ali the Operator, he'll tell you to get a distraction. Talk to the street urchin, he'll help you distract a villager for 10 coins. An arrow will appear above the distracted villager, pickpocket the villager and go talk to Ali the Operator again. He'll suggest knocking the villagers out before you rob them and will give you an Oak Blackjack. Find another villager, right click him and pick the "Knock Out" option. Pick-pocket the villager and go talk to Ali the Operator.

The next task is more difficult, you need to burgle the mayor's house. The Operator will give you the front door key, you also need a disguise, gloves, and you need to make sure no one is inside. The merchant in the middle of town can sell you a fake beard and a hat, use them together and you'll make a desert disguise, put it and your gloves on. The Mayor's house is near the tavern with a fountain in front of it. Near the front door there is a large stand of Cacti... Cactuses... Right click them and you'll get a "hide behind" option, this will let you stake out the house. No one is inside, use your key with the front door and go upstairs. Search the landscape, there is a safe hidden behind the picture, the combination is (clockwise) 112358. Leave the house and talk to Ali the Operator for your third task.

There seems to be a traitor in the ranks of the Menaphites. Talk to a Menaphite Thug and you'll learn that its Traitorous Ali that has betrayed the Menaphites. Talk to The Operator again and he'll ask you to eliminate Traitorous Ali, but to do it quietly. Go to the Snake and Asp, talk to the barman and ask about Traitorous Ali, he just left the Tavern, his beer is sitting on a table. North of the camel store there is a small path that leads to a house sitting by itself, this is the home of Ali the Hag (short for "Alice"). Ask the Hag about how to kill the traitor without causing a fuss. She suggests snake poison, if you'll bring her a snake and camel dung (don't ask) she'll make it for you.

To get the snake poison, use some coins on Ali the Snake Charmer behind the tavern. He'll give you a snake charm and basket. Find some desert snakes and use the charm on one. If you succeed, you'll get a snake into the basket. Otherwise the snake will attack you. Go to the Red Hot Kebab salesman and buy some Red Hot sauce. Put the sauce in the camel's trough at the Camel store and use a bucket with the camel dung it drops. Take both back to the Hag and she'll give you the poison. Go back to the tavern and use the poison with the table that has the full beer on it.

Go back to the Menaphite tent and talk to Ali the Operator, he'll tell you to talk to the Menaphite Leader (who appears right outside the tent). The Menaphites are a lot more than a seedy bunch of bandits, they're fermenting rebellion to ultimately take over the world! You'll disagree with this plan and have a bit of a falling out with the Menaphites. A level 75 Menaphite tough guy will atack you, defeat him and he'll drop a Willow Blackjack.

Now try talking to a Villager to find Ali Morrisane's nephew. The villager will complain that the Bandits will take over the town now that the Menaphites have been defeated. Go to the North-West edge of town and talk to the bandit leader, you'll tell him to get out of town and he'll call up his level 70 Bandit Champion. Defeat the Bandit (he also drops an Adamantine Scimitar) and try talking to another Villager, the villager will be unimpressed but will tell you to ask the mayor about Morrisan's nephew.

Morrisan's nephew was driven out of town by the Bandits and Menaphites because he was too good a salesman. He was able to trick anyone into buying anything, and finally was driven out of town. Go back to Al Kharid and tell Ali Morrisan what happened. Ali Morrisan will pay you 500 coins in addition to the other rewards.
